RoSPA & EN1176 Compliant Fencing
CLA Childsafe Range
RoSPA Compliant Fencing! Our ChildSafe range of bowtop railings have been designed with careful consideration to form a child safe and attractive boundary typically to play areas. The railings are designed to RoSPA guidelines so you can be confident that safety is our priority.
ChildSafe railings are designed to hinder children from trapping their heads, neck orlimbs. This design of railings also allows parents or guardians a clear view through the bars. To complete the boundary area we have designed matching gates using the same safety considerations as the railings. A hydraulic self closing mechanism option is available on single leaf gates to allow the gate to close automatically.

What is BS EN 1176 Playground Safety Standard?
EN1176 is a European safety standard that applies to playground equipment. The standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for playground equipment and surfacing, with the aim of reducing the risk of accidents and injuries in playgrounds.
The EN1176 standard covers a wide range of playground equipment, including swings, slides, climbing frames, see-saws, and other types of equipment. It also specifies requirements for impact-absorbing playground surfacing, such as grass, sand, and rubber tiles.
The standard includes requirements for equipment design and construction, as well as guidelines for installation, maintenance, and inspection. It also specifies the maximum height and use zone for equipment, as well as the maximum fall height and impact attenuation of surfacing.
Playground safety standards across Europe widely use EN1176 as the benchmark. Third-party testing organizations typically provide certification to demonstrate compliance with this standard. It is important for playground owners, manufacturers, and designers to be aware of the EN1176 standard and to ensure that their equipment and installations meet the requirements to ensure the safety of children.
